1998 - 1999 Season

The big question this season was "When is the Palace going to open?" as ACT I geared up for the responsibility of a home of its own.  Although the theatre was not yet ready in time for any of the '98 - '99 shows, we knew the finished result would be well worth the wait.  ACT I expanded its offerings again this season, creating its youth program, ACT I STAGE!.  With that came a new children's theatre series, and ACT I's first ever student directed production.  While we waited for the Palace, ACT I performed in three new venues.  Going outdoors for the first time, we performed at the Riverside Park band shell, and also the 4th Street Coffee Co. and Wesley United Methodist Church, as well as Tilford Middle School.  Among the many debuts during the '98 - '99 season were Megan Christy, Lois Ewins, Jake Fowler, Gerald and Marcy Horst, Annie Horst, Megan Horst, Patrick Horst, Kaitlin Karrick, Brian Larkin, Matt Meyer, Aaron Murphy, Margie Ortgeisen, Greg Tucker, and Alexander Vasquez.  Long time ACT I choreographer Joan Cooling appeared on stage for the first time, and Sarah Zimmerman debuted as designer.
