"Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight!"

"Oh, Thespis . . ."

"Yes, but how often do we find ourselves in this position?"

"Yes, it IS a fair price by the pound."

"Take me!"

"Everybody ought to have a maid!"

"Everybody ought to have a working girl. . ."

"I'm calm, I'm calm, I'm perfectly calm, I'm utterly under control."

"Silence! I am about to say the sooth!"

"A fine, big boy."

"Go to the hills."

"Half a league."

"Of course I know that this is. This is writing."

"Lycus, do we really need all these eunuchs?"

"Now will you all please strike . . . vocational attitudes?"

"First time around."

"Make haste! Make haste! I have no time to waste! There are shrines I should be sacking..."

"Bring me my bride!"

"Present the Bride."

"Intermission!"

"Slave-in-chief?
I wonder how many slaves-in-chief have a master in the tub,
a house full of courtesans, and a virgin on the roof!"

"Hysterium, on the best of intuition, I believe my husband is fouling the nest."

"I
have entertained over two hundred officers."
"Two hundred? By yourself?"

"Come out here! Come on out!"

"What if he tries to kiss me?"

"Helen
and her thousand ships
Will have to die of shame.
You're so lovely. . ."

I'm lovely

"I'm
so lovely.
Literally lovely--
That the world will never seem the same. . ."

"Strew
the soil,
Strum the lyre,
Spread the oil,
Build the pyre!"

"Wait. A farewell kiss."

Special guests from around the nation filled the auditorium of the Palace Theatre for the October 14 performance of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The entire house had been bought out the American Legion Women's Auxiliary for a presentation of the production to delegates from their national convention being held in the Amanas. The occasion was for the installation of Sherry McLaughlin of nearby Mt. Auburn as the national president of that organization. Sherry contacted ACT I two years earlier to book a performance of one of our shows on that specific date.
