Synopsis:

Rene Schwartzbuckle has a zany obsession for a turnip-like vegetable called “rapunzel.” After spotting a patch in the neighbor’s garden, Rene sends her husband, Walt, to “borrow” some: Discovering this, the neighbor, Witch Izwitch, sends her henchmen, the Glumpwarts, to terrorize Walt until he promises to give over his first born daughter on her 18th birthday: The play jumps ahead 18 years and we find Rapunzel locked in a remote tower, held captive by the witch: The Schwartzbuckles plead for help from the royal family and an all-out rescue effort is underway: Will princes, knights, sages and even court jesters be able to save poor Rapunzel?
