Side Passageways
These two passageways have two very important functions vital to the operation of the Palace Theatre. Running the length of the auditorium along the west wall of the theatre, the lower passage provides handicapped access to the stage, eliminating the need for an unsightly, space consuming ramp or lift. They also provide actors and staff members access to the stage and green room areas without going into the audience space. The lower passage runs from the back of the auditorium to the stage, and the upper passage (directly above the lower one) runs from the balcony to the back stairs.
